It's Sunday April 30th, 2006. So unless you visit the site with a text browser or a screen reader you've probably noticed a few changes today. We've got to thank you all for being such dedicated load testers, and I can assure you that what was Punknews.org 4.0 this morning is most likely Punknews.org 4.835 by this point (or maybe something catchy like Punknews Wii). Considering that the relatively minor cosmetic changes of version 3.0 seemed to really piss a few people off, the amount of good comments and constructive suggestions you've offered so far has been wonderful.
Stories you were talking about this week
You know after the goodwill we saw during their CBGBs benefit it was nice to see Gorilla Biscuits top the news pile again. This week the band announced an August U.S. tour and details on the Start Today reissue. Speaking of goodwill, the Bouncing Souls seem to be getting it in spare from our readers, and this week the band released "The Gold Song" from their upcoming record. AFI had three big stories this week, as they released details on Decemberunderground, tour plans for Japan and the UK, and U.S. shows with Dillinger Escape Plan and Nightmare of You. Not to be overshadowed, Rise Against released announced that their new record The Sufferer and the Witness is set for July. Vagrant surprised again this week by signing a reformed Lemonheads which features members of the Descendents. This week also saw a new live video from Rancid, an L.A. Weekly profile on Brett Gurewitz and plans from Anti-Flag for the May Day demonstrations.
This week we spoke with Aaron of Reel Big Fish, Roger of Less Than Jake and Keith of Every Time I Die. Oh, and did we mention the whole Punknews.org 4.0 thing? Well we kicked off this new era with a new exclusive song from the Marked Men.
