The Weakerthans have expanded their summer tour plans, dubbing the venture the "Impossible Distances Tour." In addition to previously announced shows with popular Canadian rock act the Tragically Hip, the band will now tour with acts like Raising The Fawn, the New Amsterdams and Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin. Weakerthans guitarist Stephen Caroll, drummer Jason Tait and bassist Greg Smith recorded with Graffin for his upcoming solo album Cold as the Clay.
The Impossible Distances Tour will continue over to continental Europe following the North American shows. Dates have not yet been announced, but the band has indicated they'll participate in festival dates organized by Hamburg-based label Grand Hotel van Cleef.
