Imagine getting the call two days before your show saying "oh, by the way…there aren't any more tickets left." Thrice's first headlining position at a large venue sold out two full days before the show. So many people tried to get in that the band couldn't even get more tickets for their friends…or rather, the non-believers who didn't buy their tickets in advance (they'll be forgiven, in time). Click below for the rest of the article. I knew this band was making some serious waves, but I did not know they were getting this big! Also, sorry for not posting in a while, but my connection has been down. I am going to start school on Wednesday, so my posts may be infrequent for a while, but it will all get worked out.

All the folks who did drop the change and got in with 1,000 of their closest friends rocked out to songs from Thrice's "Identity Crisis" (Sub City) and new songs which will be appearing on "The Illusion of Safety," recently recorded at Salad Days with Brian McTernon. If this has sparked your interest be sure to check out http://www.hopelessrecords.com/Thrice to see what dates Thrice will be working the stage alongside Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio and the Selby Tigers. You'll also find other information on this year's Plea for Peace / Take Action Tour and the compilation which features 28 tracks from 28 different artists, many of which are unreleased or rare. The tour is starting in just a few weeks so get tix now before they, you know, sell out.
