Toronto's charity-based show Moltov Rocktail 2006, which was scheduled to feature Protest the Hero, the Sainte Catherines, the Flatliners, Million Dollar Marxists, Fifth Hour Hero, GFK, Hostage Life and others has been cancelled. The show's official website has yet to make any mention of the cancellation, but both Ticketmaster and a flyer from the Flatliners state it.
Punknews.org contacted the organizers who had this to say:
We are saddened to state that due to unforeseen and unfortunate administrational circumstances which have come forward in this past week, we have been forced to temporarily cancel Molotov Rocktail 2006 until a later date.We emphatically implore you to continue to support our cause- Covenant House, and want to thank the bands and avid music fans who were lined up to make this the greatest event that almost was in the summer of 06.
Tickets can be refunded through ticket master as well as info@molotovrocktail.com, but keep your eyes pealed for more information to come.
The show was to benefit the Covenant House, a Toronto-based charity that provides shelter and other services to homeless and runaway youth. Punknews.org is one of the sponsors of the event.
