Boy Sets Fire have posted an update regarding the condition of their guitarist Josh Latshaw who recently broke his neck and 2 vertebrae and had a lung collapse at work:
Josh is still in the Shock Trauma Unit at University of Maryland (at first he was only meant to be there 2-3 days, but that has obviously been extended as this was more serious then originally known). He had a frightening episode of vomiting up old blood, but that is now resolved with some more surgery and the insertion of yet another tube. The doctors have now said though that he will have a full recovery, though they are not able to estimate how long it will take.
Due to the generosity of fans donating money to Josh and his family, his brother Jason has posted an unreleased track from the Misery Index recordings called "Never Surrender." There are two versions of the track available for download. You can download version one here and version two here.
The band has not, as previously rumoured, cancelled their final European tour. Stage tech Chris Rakus will be filling in for Josh according to the tour's promoters.
