A recent interview has Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel discussing much of the band's recent experiences as well as their future plans.

Of particular note was a somewhat sour tone taken towards the "punk" scene, with Tom explaining the Sire signing:

There was an interest too of kind of escaping the punk ghetto. Especially after experiencing how limiting it is. I want to have freedom to try and create any type of music that I want to fucking create and I don't want to get shit for that or feel like limited because I'm suppose to be a punk band or a folk band.

The interview covers everything from the Warped Tour, to the rumoured Lucero split as well as recording and release plans.

The band recently released their last record on indie Fat Wreck Chords, the live disc, Americans Abroad!!! Against Me!!! Live in London!!!, and also confirmed plans to record with producer Butch Vig.
