Silent Movie Records have announced the signing of St. Louis' Rushmore Academy. Label owner Joe Lemble had this to say about the signing:

"We are all very confident in the ability and talent that the Rushmore Academy possesses. We are looking forward to helping assist them in their career as a band and plan on serving as a stepping stone knowing that its only a matter of time until everyone else sees in this group of guys what we do - we are very pleased to call them friends and proud to call them family.

The band plans to release their newly recorded EP, produced by Marc McClusky (Hit the Lights), through the label on November 21st. In the mean time, you can check out new tracks from the band on their MySpace.
