Jade Tree writes: "We're proud to announce yet another addition to the Jade Tree family. This month we welcome The Explosion from Boston. Formed in the fall of 1998 by Matt Hock and Dave Walsh, they quickly recruited Damian Genaurdi (In My Eyes) and Dan Colby. Sam Cave (ex-The Trouble) joined a few months later to complete the line-up. These five guys play spunky straightforward '77 style jams that combine elements of street punk and Oi with the attack and tenacity of hardcore all done up with a millennial flare. If you enjoy the sounds of The Clash, Buzzcocks, Misfits, Sex Pistols, Stiff Little Fingers, Naked Raygun, and The Who, then this is right up your alley! Their self-titled debut CD single, The Explosion, is set to hit the shelves on March 28, 2000. This six-song brash and bratty CDS is packed with some of the catchiest sing-a-longs and youth anthems ever heard. To promote the release of their single, the band will be taking it to the streets over the next few months followed by a full-length album and a U.S. tour next summer. " Sounds like a cool band.
