9.14 Pictures and Don Argott, the director of Rock School have begun filming a documentary about New Jersey's Adrenalin OD.
The documentary/mockumentary film will chronicle the history of the influential New Jersey hardcore band Adrenalin O.D. (aka A.O.D.) through rare archival live footage, and interviews with band members, fans, and the bands they have influenced.
Adrenalin O.D. were around from 1981-1990 and are credited with being one of founding fathers of the suburban hardcore movement of the 80's. Aside from being one of the fastest bands ever to come out of hardcore, their tongue in cheek, sarcastic sense of humor and hillarious live shows have influenced many succesful bands including NOFX, Screeching Weasel, Anthrax, SOD, and Metallica.
The film will include interviews with NOFX, Keith Morris, Jello Biafra, Bouncing Souls, Channel 3, Jesse Malin (DGeneration /Heart Attack), Steve Zing (Samhain) John Stabb (Government Issue), and Electric Frankenstein to name a few.
Adrenalin O.D. officially disbanded in 1990 however have reunited several times since for sold out shows, the last being at CBGB's in August 2005 with the Dead Boys, Flipper and Peter and the Test Tube Babies.
