Long Beach, California Dub/Rock band Bargain Music has broken up. Josh Fischel explained on the band's myspace page:
So, we've been doing a lot of talking and we have decided that the time for Bargain Music to end is now. I can't speak for the other dudes but my heart aint in it anymore. I've been thinking about for a while and while playing Bargain shows are still fun, I don't want to start not liking it and I think I will if we keep going.
The band recently released American Born and plans to do sporadic touring for the next few months.

We're still gonna play shows for the next six or so months and then in June we're gonna do a three night So. Cal run ending in Long Beach and that will be it. We know we have a lot of fans nationwide that are gonna be bummed we're not coming out there anymore so we want to give you guys a lot of time to save up and come out for the last shows. In the next couple weeks we will announce the shows and set up pre-sale so you guys know for sure you can get in.
I'm planning an acoustic tour for March so you can still hear some Bargain songs live.
I'm ready to put this to bed and start something new. I've been working on songs for the new shit and hopefully will put some songs up early next year. As soon as I get the new stuff finished, i'll be touring on that. I'll keep y'all informed.
Hope you guys aren't too bummed. It's been a crazy eight years and it's just time. Thanks so much for all your support and hopefully we'll see you in June.
Thanks,
Josh
