Members of Modern Life Is War have responded to an interview that took place on a college radio station with Some Girls.

According to the audio, Some Girls made statements about the band playing "coked out" and expressed incredulity about "angry white" fans going "nuts" for them live. They continued with their criticism and more or less accused the band of rehashing a derivative type of hardcore/punk music in general. It is not known whether or not Some Girls actually made the statements in jest, as they just recently completed a tour with the band, both of which were supporting Converge.

Modern Life Is War remixed "Deathface" and spliced in audio clips from the interview, however the purevolume page that housed the track has since been taken down.
