Deep Elm has signed Cincinnati, Ohio-based 500 Miles to Memphis. For those curious, Cincinnati is in fact 500 miles from Memphis.

The band plays what is described as a rowdy, insanely catchy, sometime heartbreaking but always inspiring brand of "country punk." In 2005 the band was named best Roots/Folk/Americana Band by the Cincinnati Entertainment Awards and was also nominated for Best Rock band in 2006.

The label will be releasing the band's debut full length, Sunshine In A Shotglass. A release date has not been set but four songs from the record are available on their myspace page.
