Courtney Love has reportedly told the BBC that Linda Perry of 4 Non Blondes will be producing the next Green Day record. She explained:
Now Courtney has revealed to 6 Music that Perry will produce the new Green Day album, the follow-up to the multi-million selling American Idiot. She said: "This is my best record. Corgan's on it from the (Smashing) Pumpkins, and Linda Perry - who out of my record got the Green Day record. That's a scoop - I just gave that away with my big mouth.
Linda Perry, the former singer of 4 Non Blondes and frequent songwriter for pop stars may seem like an unusual choice. Perry had a hit in 1993 with "What's Up" but went on to greater success as a songwriter for Gwen Stefani, Pink and Christina Aguilera.
