Minneapolis-based power pop act Sing It Loud have parted ways with their drummer:

irst off, we have parted ways with our drummer Dane Schmidt. Dane's heart is in other places and he has decided to pursue other things in life that will not allow him to continue his position in Sing It Loud. We are all on good terms and we support him in whatever he decides to do from here on out. On that note… we currently DO have a drummer who has swooped in on magical wings to save our asses and we are having a great time with him… we plan on announcing his arrival into Sing It Loud when the time is right

The group recently entered the studio with producer and labelmate Josh Cain of Motion City Soundtrack to begin work on their forthcoming debut album, which will be released in fall 2008.
