Lots of Promise Ring news as their news album "Wood/Water" arrives on Anti Records. There will be two in-store appearances coming up, the first on April 23rd at The Miramar Theatre (1813 East Locust St.) in Milwaukee, the second on April 24th at Tower Records (2301 N. Clark St.) in Chicago, IL. The band will begin their "Wood/Water" US tour on April 27th in Minneapolis, concluding on May 12th in Tempe, AZ. There is a total of fourteen shows with the Weakerthans supporting on all dates. Starting May 27th, The Promise Ring will be supporting Jimmy Eat World on their U.K. tour. Check Anti.Com for the tourdates. Also, a video for the single "Stop Playing Guitar" is currently being edited. It was Icelandic duo Arni + Kinski of Celebrator. The band will also be on the cover of Rockpile's March 2002 issue, and will appear in the May 2002 issue of SPIN with "Wood/Water" designated as "lead review" of the month.
