The National have announced plans to release their next album in May on 4AD Records. The album will be the first proper full length from the band since 2007's Boxer which earned a five-star review from our reviewer and an average score of 4½ from our readers. The band has also begun booking a tour in support of the record and that is expected to kick off in March with shows in Canada, the US and Europe planned.
