TMZ (sigh) is reporting that Marky Ramone, who took over drumming for the legendary Ramones for the release of Road to Ruin and remained as sole drummer for fifteen years, is suing the people behind his royalties agreement. According to a legal filing in New York Supreme Court, Marky says he signed a new royalties deal in 2005 but stopped receiving payments in 2008 due to "some allegedly shady business dealings."

Marky claims that the company in charge of managing the bands royalties completely ignored the contract and took Ramones money that didn't belong to them. Ramone claims he's owed about $175,000 in back royalties and is also asking for $1 million in punitive damages.
