Just a few days after performing a highly anticipated reunion performance on New Year's Eve, Dallas, Texas' Red Animal War have confirmed that work is underway on a new album, their first since 2006's Seven Year War. According to The Dallas Observer, frontman Justin Wilson confirmed this via email:
I never stopped writing songs for RAW. But, because of our distance, we don't record as often as we'd like. This holiday season we were able to not only play a show but wrangle some studio time as well. We got some great stuff that picks up where the band left off, smashing post-punk into a million little pieces and putting it back together in a way akin to gluing a shattered mirror. Expect many jagged edges and hairpin turns. It will be a good while before it's released because we have more to do, But, eventually, it will see the light of day.
Wilson says that before a new RAW record, we can also expect new material from his other band, Saboteur in the form of a debut full length.
