us that after close to two years of work, the documentary "Between Resistance and Community: The Long Island Do It Yourself Punk Scene" has been completed. The film crew shot over 70 hours of footage and spent eight months editing. The results are a 45 minute documentary exploring the DIY punk scene. Among the variety if interviews, show footage and more that were filmed, the piece is said to not shy away from talking a subjective view of the scene's shortcomings. The documentary features performances and interviews with the Insurgent, Latterman, On the Might of Princes, Porcelain Decay, Rachel Jacobs, Seven Days of Samsara, Sometimes Walking Sometimes Running, as well as various people participating in the scene. The film is being released on Traffic Violation Records and available at most online punk stores.
