Kathleen Hanna (Bikini Kill, Le Tigre) has unveiled a (sort of) new band dubbed The Julie Ruin. The group, which also features former Bikini Kill bandmate Kathi Wilcox, was originally conceived as a lo-fi solo project by Hanna, and she released a self-titled album under the moniker in 1998 via Kill Rock Stars. Now a five-piece, the Julie Ruin are currently recording a new album, with CNN (of all places) reporting that it's been tapped for a January release.
