After having a very interesting talk with Hey Mercedes singer Bob Nanna tonight after their sold out show with the Get Up Kids in Iowa City, he divulged to me the band's upcoming tour plans. In February and March, they will be doing a Midwest/East Coast headlining tour, with Aloha opening for roughly two weeks, and Armor For Sleep opening on the entire tour. Dates are yet to be announced. The band also has preliminary plans to pay a visit to Europe in May and June, however that is still very tentative.
The band also plans to head into the studio in the spring to record their followup to "Everynight Fire Works" for Vagrant Records. If the two songs they played live tonight were any indication of the new album's direction, we're all in for a big, big treat.
