Regents (ex-Frodus, Battery, Thursday, Combat Wounded Veteran) drummer Jason Hamacher has contributed a short film to the 'Why I Vote 2012' initiative.

In the clip, Hamacher explains that he votes because millions of people lack the opportunity to elect their leaders. You can check out the video here.

The 'Why I Vote 2012' initiative is run by teacher/writer Ronen Kauffman (Issue Oriented, Zombie Apocalypse, try.fail.try) and community organiser Justin Brannan (Indecision, Most Precious Blood), and seeks to encourage young voters to take part in the 2012 US Presidential election. Several other noteworthies have contributed videos to the campaign, including Gabe Saporta (Cobra Starship, Midtown).
