One of the two recent incarnations of the classic punk band, Black Flag, have announced plans for touring. This version of Black Flag is comprised of Greg Ginn, Ron Reyes, Gregory Moore (from Ginn's project Gone), and Ginn's pseudonym "Dale Nixon" on bass.
The group have added two more festivals, Ruhrpott Rodeo in Hünxe, Germany on May 18 and the Muddy Roots Music Festival in Tennessee on August 31, in addition to their appearance at Hevy Fest August 4. They also have plans to tour the US, the dates of which have yet to be released. As for who will take up the bass duties for the tour, it is unclear as "Dale Nixon" has a contractual obligation to be on "Celebrity Rehab":
While Dale has lent his skills to the new album, he is currently contractually obligated for a stint on Celebrity Rehab. Still, as he has always done in the past, he will continue to provide insight and spiritual guidance to the current bass player.
Black Flag have also announced they are "putting finishing touches on a new album", the first Black Flag record since 1986's In My Head . They are aiming to release the record sometime later this year.
In related news, Flag, the other Black Flag reunion featuring Keith Morris, Chuck Dukowski, Bill Stevenson, and Stephen Egerton have announced 3 festival dates in Europe before they head back to the US for Punk Rock Bowling.
