While many of you have submitted this news in the past day, this is the first time it's been confirmed by anyone - Vagrant punks Alkaline Trio have cancelled their upcoming tour with One Man Army and Paris, Texas. A statement from Vagrant:

"While the band was in the studio recording the new album in December, Matt strained his vocal chords and had to take some time off. Even with the downtime around the holidays, the band thought it was best to concentrate on finishing the album and not putting Matt in a position to cause permanent damage by pushing himself.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience and disappointment this may cause. We were all looking forward to the shows. The good news is the album will still be completed by the end of January and is scheduled for an early May release. Look for the band to be back on the road soon."
