us that Matador Records have an agreement with Canada's Mint Records to release the long awaited second album from The New Pornograpgers in the USA. The band features Carl Newman, Kurt Dahle, Blaine Thurier, Neko Case, Dan Bejar and Todd Fancey, all vetrans of a number of respected indie rock bands including Zumpano and Destroyer. The album should drop on May 6th and will be titled "Electric Version." Click below for the track list. Mint Records will be releasing the album in Canada.
Adam trivia: The first New Pornographers record `Mass Romantic' is one of my favorite albums. Ever. Matador's press release said it best when it called the indie pop band `hyperkinetic.'
