Hello everyone and welcome to Navel Gazing: your look back in the week in Punknews. I'm Brittany Strummer and I discovered Cleo the Corgi this week. I'll be your guide through some of the juiciest, most popular and otherwise noteworthy stories from the last seven days. Remember, every Punknews story is built from tips from our wonderful, good-looking readers, so get to submitting. Here's what got the strange, slow and old community talking this week:
- New Found Glory released a music video for "Ready and Willing" showing off their young side… in a way.
- The Dead Milkmen also released a music video. Theirs was for the song "Pretty Music For Pretty People".
- Weezer released the new song "Cleopatra" from their upcoming album Everything Will Be Alright in the End.
- Leftover Crack revealed the dates for the Cracktober Fest tour with Potato Pirates, Juicy Karkass, and Rats in the Wall tagging along.
- Many of our readers are currently attending Riot Fest Chicago and we hope our guide to the underground bands playing has helped.
- We finally got a chance to listen to the impressive line up of bands on the Red Scare: 10 Years of Your Dumb Bullshit compilation.
- The Murderburgers were unfortunately forced to leave their tour early due to being robbed. You can help them out by buying something here. It's not entirely a sad story though because they did hint at plans for something neat with the US in the future.
- We were very excited to host Bad Canoes' new show MTV 12 where they share a handful of videos from artists such as Cayetana, Big Eyes, and many more.
