Roxy Music have broken up. Although the influential glam/art-rock band has endured decades of inactivity throughout their career, the band never officially "broke up." However, according to guitarist Phil Manzanera, "I don't think we're going to do any more shows. I think our job is done. When we stopped touring in 2011, Andy [Mackay] and I looked at each other and said, 'Our job is done here.'"

However, Manzanera promised extensive reissues of the band's first two albums, which included work with famed producer Brian Eno. The band has been cited as influence by many punk rock bands, including Dead Kennedys, Madness, Sex Pistols, Adam Ant, Siouxsie Sioux, Melvins, Amebix and others.
