I just wrote Derek's bio, and I describe the record as, "There's hints of haunting rock like The Smiths, some Americana like Ryan Adams, and maybe even a bit of 80's New Wave like Prince." That said, I really think Trio fans are still gonna enjoy this. It's not just "Punk guy goes acoustic…again", it's a genuine sonic deviation, but it's also real accessible too.
