Earlier this year, Nails suddenly canceled a European tour and a few stray American dates. The band offered no statement on the status of the band except to say the tour was canceled. Many people assumed that the band was broken up or on hiatus. At the time of the tour cancellation, tourmates Full Of Hell stated, "“Important: Unfortunately this show has been cancelled. Nails have gone on hiatus with no plan to play live or record again. For refunds, please contact your point of purchase.” But then, the band announced the release of a new split EP last week. Speaking to Metal Hammer, Nails vocalist/guitarist Todd Jones gave a short explanation on the status of the band: We never went on hiatus, we just cancelled a bunch of dates.”
