Earlier this year, Joe Corre, son of Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and Fashion icon Vivienne Westwood, stated that he was going to burn his father's collection of punk artifacts. The premise of this display was that it was in protest of the Queen's support of the 'Punk London' movement. Well, now, for the 40 or so days leading up to the burning, Corre will be filming a documentary with Andrew Eborn of Octopus TV. The doc will be called Burn Punk. There's no release date yet, but Corre is expected to set fire to about $6 million dollars (US) of punk memorabilia from punk's earliest days. Items expected to be torched include a Sid Vicious doll, clothes worn by John Lydon, rare copies of the unissued version of the Sex Pistols’ “God Save The Queen†7-inch single pressed on the A&M label, and more.
