Sonic Youth will join the reunited Iggy and the Stooges for an August 14th concert in Detroit. This will be the Stooges second appearance in 28 years, following their April set at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival in Indio, California.

The reunited Stooges have recorded four new songs together which will be included in Iggy Pop's upcoming album "Skull Ring." The September 30th release will be led off by the Sum 41 collaboration "Little Know It All" and will feature songs from Green Day / Iggy project The Trolls.
