In August of this year, Fred "The Freak" Smith of 80s post-hardcore band Beefeater was stabbed to death in a San Fernando park. The murder is still unsolved and police are unsure of a motive for the crime. However, the crime does have a possible suspect. LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who can help lead to the arrest and conviction of the killer. The person of interest is described as a man in his late 20s with tattoos on his face and on his arm. Smith's mother, who lives in Maryland, stated “In my heart I forgive that person - I forgive that person for what he did to my son. And I hope that that person will give themselves up."
