In their latest update of their zine's infamous gossip section, Buddyhead has announced that The Icarus Line has signed with V2 (EMI / Virgin). The band was recently in Hollywood recording 14 songs for the record, to be titled Penance Soiree. They will now head to London to finish and mix the album with Alan Moulder (My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Nine Inch Nails). Buddyhead Records will release the vinyl version well before the CD hits stores. A demo version of the song "On The Lash" will be on the upcoming soundtrack to the movie Underworld.
