Scott Ryser, who was a member of early Bay area synth-punks The Units has released a new solo album. It's called Flying Away and includes contributions from the other Units as well as members of Tuxedomoon. Ryser stated, "I’ve been slowly working on it ever since the UNITS broke up. That’s why the album sounds a bit like an old ‘80’s synth record at times. I can’t thank Kit Watson enough for the invaluable help and collaboration on putting the finishing touches on this. Also to Blaine L. Reininger from Tuxedomoon, and Rachel Webber and Tim Ennis from the UNITS for their contributions." Check out the album below.
