us that this year's winners of the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands contest have been announced. They will be playing a showcase show at the Key Club in West Hollywood on December 10th, tickets go on sale November 1st. In addition to this year's winners an unannounced "special headliner" will also be on the bill. The following four bands were chosen out of 180 who got the chance to play a date on this summer's Warped Tour 2003 (and out of over 2600 total applicants to the contest).

The winners: Much The Same (A-F Records) from Chicago, IL, Monty's Fan Club from Providence, RI, The Tossers (Thick Records) from Chicago, IL and Straight Outta Junior High (Mindset Records) from Lincoln, NE.
