us with a ton of news. Click below for Fat Wreck Chords' latest news post on their upcoming releases. Among the label's upcoming releases (and aside from the much talked about Subhumans and Descendents records) is a Joey Cape / Tony Sly split-release in which the frontmen will perform acoustic versions of their band's songs. Live records are coming up from the Swingin' Utters, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and Lagwagon. Along with those, 2004 will bring new studio albums from Propagandhi, Dillinger Four, Strung Out, Bracket and (possibly) Wizo.
We thought it would be prudent to give y'all a heads up about our plans for 2004, and this way we don't have to update this thing too often. As you know, the Punk Rock Bowling Tournament is nigh and we gotta practice for that. We kick off the year with a couple great releases from old-school punk faves: Subhumans Live In A Dive and Descendents 'Merican CD-EP; both are out February 10th. Then comes the biggie, the first Descendents full length in seven years and they call it Cool To Be You. It's so good, seriously. And here's a new one for us, we'll be releasing a Joey Cape/Tony Sly split-release featuring those stallions performing acoustic versions of their respective band's hits. We're also putting out a few more live records from Swingin' Utters, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, and Lagwagon. But don't you fret, we got some studio albums scheduled this year from the likes of Propagandhi, Dillinger Four, Strung Out,Bracket, and maybe even something new from Wizo, but those guys are full of knockwurst and bier, so don't get your hopes up.
Perhaps our most important releases of the year will be our Rock Against Bush compilations, the first of which will be out in April. We predict that there will be two volumes of the comp, but we've come to find that there are A LOT of bands that want to rock against Bush, so who knows how many comps we'll make. There ya have it, all that's Fat to print…keep in mind that everyone involved in this fair company is either a slacker or an outright liar, so this shit is subject to change.
