In the newest issue of Spin, Howlin' Pelle Almqvist of The Hives divulged a little bit of info about the band's forthcoming major label debut. While not letting the magazine divulge the album's title, he did confirm some song titles - "Roll Out The Red Carpet" and "Two Timin' Touchin', Broken Bones" join the previously announced "Walk Idiot Walk." Almqvist says that some of the material has a slightly more experimental, electronic leaning ala Kraftwerk, but to still expect the same Hives you've always known and loved. And just in case you were worried, in response to the question of "are you still the best band in the world?", Almqvist responded with "I don't know - we probably are."
The Hives have also confirmed a handful of European and Japanese festival appearances through the Summer.
