Gale Force Records has signed San Diego based band The Burbs. The label describes the band's sound as a "a brand of straightforward punk with a throwback kick of surf rock, and an added twist of 60's pop." Some MP3s are available to download on the band's website. The Burbs features members of local San Diego acts The Underhills, The SpecialGuest, The Blockheads and Hornswaggled. The band's debut EP was just released this month, titled There's a High Price for Livin' Nice. A full length is expected this fall.
