A Great Big Pile of Leaves, Matt Turner, Sunday Driver

Pete Weiland and Tyler Soucy from Farewell to Arms have started a new project dubbed A Great big Pile of Leaves. The duo has a couple of new songs up on MySpace for your listening pleasure.

The new album from Florida–based acoustic–ska musician Matt Turner is available free for download via his official website. The record is titled Matt Turner is important and runs 13 tracks.

Miami, FL–based Sunday Driver will be releasing a new 5 song EP in November via Gainesvile, FL's Arkain Records. A title for the release, produced by Paul Trust (Say Anything, Diecast), has yet to be announced. It follows up 2003's Doghouse released A Letter To Bryson City. Troy, Illinois based band This Hollywood Machine have posted some songs reflecting their influences of hardcore, metal and love for zombies. You can check out the first 4 songs from their upcoming 7 song EP Now or Never at the group's MySpace page.

Another Illinois–based band, Mars Needs Cheerleaders, has posted some music online. The group plays a mix of melodic metal and hardcore. You can hear two of their songs from their upcoming full length at their MySpace page.

Jenna, who come from (you guessed it!) Southern Illinois, play a brand of pop hardcore, and cite influences from A Day To Remember to Scary Kids Scaring Kids. They also have some songs over at MySpace.

Show Your Stripes, Casey Turner, Kincaide

Milton Keynes, England based "pop hardcore" act Show Your Stripes have posted two new songs online from their upcoming 5 song EP. You can check them out via MySpace.

Casey Turner of California's Liquid Image is set out to release his first solo effort on this week. The project is falling under the name Stained Glass Saints. The 7 song EP will include the Liquid Image song "Near Miss" and self–produced recordings. You can check out music via MySpace.

Victoria, British Columbia's Kincaide have posted new tracks the band just finished recording with producer Devin Townsend (Strapping Young Lad, Misery Signals, Darkest Hour). The band will hit the road for a two month tour of Canada in October and November. Check their MySpace page for details.

Sydney, Captain We're Sinking, Sidekicks

Burlington Ontario's Sydney has posted 2 new tracks from their forthcoming record When We Were Safe. The album was produced by Jesse Smith (Cauterize) and is due out October 9th. You can check out the tracks via their MySpace page.

Scranton, PA's Captain, We're Sinking has posted their demo What Could Be Worse? for download. You can grab it via their MySpace.

Sidekicks will be releasing their new album So Long, Soggy Dog soon. The band has tracked 11 songs and will be releasing the album at their show on September 14th at the Soggy Dog House in Cleveland, OH. You can hear new tracks on their MySpace page.

The Denslow Cup, SheKillsMe, I Adapt

Kalamazoo, Michigan based three piece The Denslow Cup have put their self-released EP Did You Hear Who's Fucking Who? up as a free download via their MySpace page. The band will be touring the eastern United States in September and are still looking to fill out some dates on the schedule. Check their MySpace page for details.

Regina, Saskatchewan's female fronted punk outfit SheKillsMe independently released their self-titled debut EP on August 22nd. Songs from the EP are available on at MySpace.

Icelandic hardcore act I Adapt has released their third full length, Chainlike Burden on Mammaþín! records. The full album is online streaming now via the label's website.

Grace Period (Ex-Early November), the Escape Frame, Church and State (This Is Hell, Soldiers)

New Jersey's Grace Period have posted their new unmastered song "The Shredder" online via The Daily Chorus.The band features ex-members of the Early November.

Immortal Records act the Escape Frame have put the new song "Our Hideout" online via MySpace. The song will appear on their upcoming full length on October 30th.

Long Island's Church and State have put four rough demos online via MySpace. The band features members of This is Hell and Soldiers.

Bela Kiss, NSDWOAH, Danger is My Middle Name

New York's Bela Kiss have posted a new track entitled "Boy, I Owe You One" via MySpace. It appears on the band's Hotfoot Records full length The Horde.

NSDWHOA! has posted their new song "27" from their upcoming GoodCore Records full length Day of Dog / Year of Gnar. You can check it out at MySpace. The track will appear along side six previously self-released songs and another new track on the release, set for either December 2007 or January 2008.

Chicago pop punk band Danger Is My Middle Name is offering up a free MP3 of their new acoustic song "New Friend Regrets." You can pick it up by sending the band a message via MySpace with your email address. You can stream new music from the band while you're there as well.

Grace Gale, The Discord of a Forgotten Sketch, AXP

Colorado's Grace Gale have posted two new tracks to their MySpace page. Head there to check out the unmastered tracks, which are set to arrive on the band's upcoming 2008 release Stronger Faster Science.

Montreal's The Discord of a Forgotten Sketch are getting set to play the entire upcoming Exclaim Aggressive Tendencies Tour 2007 across Canada with the the Locust, Despised Icon and Child Abuse. The band is working on a new EP to be released in early November on New Romance For Kids Records, described as "lounge jazz meets Black Flag's Process of Weeding Out meets Albert Ayler's Spiritual Unity." Warsaw, Indiana hardcore act AXP have unveiled the new song "Hoosier Boys" via MySpace. The song appears on the band's upcoming full length for Harvest Earth Records, titled Dead Ends & Dead Friends. It's due on September 25th.

Baumer, Reunion, Head Above Water

Columbia, South Carolina four piece Baumer has posted the new song "In Your Stead" via their PureVolume site.

Portland, Maine's Reunion has posted the song "First Things First" from their upcoming self-titled EP. The song was recorded in Amherst, Massachusetts at Dead Air Studios. The release is due out in October on Flight Path Records.

Head Above Water, which features former members of Champion, has posted a rough mix of a recent demo online at their website.

Mad Harris, (Damn) This Desert Air, A Plea For Purging

Trinidad and Tobago's Mad Harris claim to combine the "spirit of Punk Rock and the pure sexuality of Caribbean music." You can check out music from their new four song EP Rough Pumping via PureVolume or MySpace.

(Damn) This Desert Air, featuring members of Instruction, Nora, Elemae, Ex Number Five and Errortype:11, have swapped out one of their guitarists, adding Shawn Reams (ex-Merciana) to the fold. The band's debut show is set for September 29th, 2007 at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, NJ. A video is also planned for the song "Calling Orion" with director Michael Mead. Murfreesboro, TN based Christian metalcore act A Plea For Purging has posted a new track titled "While The Sparrow Sleeps" from their upcoming debut full length A Critique Of Mind And Thought. We Are The Ordinary, Wreck of Nerves, Zach Walks Away

Saviours, Sounds of Goodbye, The Lives of Famous Men

Oakland metal act Saviours have signed to New York City's Kemado Records. The band is preparing a new album to be completed this September and released next February. They're recording with Joe Barresi (Melvin, Kyuss, Tool) at A&M Henson Studios in LA with artwork by Joe Petangno (Motorhead). A new one-sided 12" EP entitled Cavern Of Mind will be out in the fall as well. Examples of the band's past work can be found via MySpace.

Buffalo, NY melodic hardcore five piece Sounds of Goodbye have recorded a three song demo at Buffalo's Echo Base Studios. You can stream the songs via the band's MySpace page.

Portland's The Lives Of Famous Men recently wrapped up a 6 week national tour with Youinseries and National Product. The band recently released their new record Rehearsal, music from which can be streamed via MySpace.
