Disconnected Records is reissuing the complete discography of Detroit's Almighty Lumberjacks Of Death. The band, which was active in the late 80s and early 90s, will now have of their studio recordings collected on CD for the first time. This includes releases on the now defunct Force Majeure label, compilation tracks as well as four unreleased songs. The press release comments:
While most bands were slagging their country & spouting left wing politics, A.L.D. took a patriotic stance while catching backlash for it. This band went from being an obscure punk band to headlining and selling out St. Andrews Hall in Detroit. The manager of The Romantics courted them, but he had no idea what the hell to do with a Punk band.
More info can be found on the label's website. A.L.D guitarist Big Dog later went on to play in hardcore bands Cold As Life and Sworn Enemy.
