Rhino has announced the details for their upcoming set of reissues from seminal outfit, The Stooges. As originally announced in June, the label will be releasing expanded editions featuring previously unreleased songs, remixes, and outtakes from the original sessions.
Although neither album was particularly popular when originally released, over time the albums have become deservedly revered for their influence on punk rock. In fact, in the recent End of the Century documentary about the Ramones, the four members of that group explained that it was the music of the Stooges that brought them together in the first place.
Rhino had previously released a limited edition box set titled 1970: The Complete Fun House Sessions which collected every take of every song from the original Fun House recording sessions. The surviving three members of the band have reunited frequently since 2003, and will be performing Fun House in its entirety this August in London.
The label has also posed an e-card for the album with four tracks from the reissues, and you can find that here.
