Bigwig has relaunched their website and with it, have begun posting updates on the progress of their upcoming full length for Fearless. The record is their first since An Invitation to Tragedy and is expected on February 7th, 2006.
The band had this to say about the delays in the album:
I know it's been a while between record updates, but honestly, we just took our time with this record. Everything from the demo process to the almost finished version is close to 2 1/2 years in the making. […] Tom and I (Keith) began writing this collection of songs in the winter of '03 after we came back from a European tour. Between that time and now, arrangements came and went throughout some of the touring we were doing, playing songs before shows and seeing if we thought they sucked or not.Whenever we would come home we would refresh and rewrite and see where the songs would or, more importantly, could go. Once we had a good idea of what we were doing, we headed up to The Soundmine studios in Pennsylvania around the fall of '04 with Dan Malsch producing. We spent a good couple of months at the Soundmine recording, writing more, testing things out and trying different sounds for what became 14-15 songs that we could all agree on and be happy with.
The band has one show lined up in the next few weeks at the Sherman Theatre on Saturday October 22 in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. Since the release of Tragedy in 2001, the band experienced major lineup changes, injuries, more lineup changes and being interviewed.
