Though currently embroiled in an complex contract dispute, Hawthorne Heights has written a number of new songs for their next album which will presumably follow their upcoming live CD+DVD.

They had this to say:

Wow, I guess its been a while since we've updated you on things and unfortunately, there's not much we can announce just yet. We have plenty in the works which we'll announce when the time is right. I just wanted to let you all know we're alive and kicking and we haven't forgotten about you. We have 21 songs written now. The band had announced signing to EMI, Victory soon filed suit against both the label and the band, leaving their label situation in limbo, at least till the case is resolved.
